The Ghost Writer is a political thriller directed by Roman Polanski, based on the novel Ghost by Robert Harris. The film celebrated its world premiere in 2010 at the Berlinale 2010, where he competed for the Golden Bear. That same year, the production with the European Film Prize was awarded.
The film opens with a scene on a ferry. When the ferry docks, drive all the cars off the vessel, except one. Then a body is shown on a beach. When the body is Mike Mcara, the ghostwriter of Adam Lang, a former British prime minister. It is believed that he committed suicide, in which he jumped from aboard the ferry, as is found in his blood, a high concentration of alcohol. Then declared a successful British Ghost Writer, "The Ghost" to complete the memoirs of the willing former British Prime Minister Adam Lang, the greatest opportunity in the professional life of the Ghosts. He was offered a salary of $ 250,000.
The Ghost Writer is flying to the U.S., where he worked with Lang on his memoirs. Adam Lang is advised because of its role in the Iraq war under pressure. Lang's wife Ruth also doubts the official version of history. The Ghost now draws back into the hotel and runs McAras old car, which was the beginning of the film on the ferry.
