Holyfield vs Nielsen Boxing

After Evander Holyfield’s fight against Sherman Williams was called off, he is right away lined up for someone else. The former four-time heavyweight champion is scheduled to fight against Denmark’s national hero Brian Nielsen on March 5th.

Ken Sanders, Holyfield’s manager said that the deal has already been signed ad the fight has been agreed by the parties.

"We've already signed the contract on Friday," Sanders said. "Evander is in great condition and he's ready to fight. He's been training for so darn long because we thought we would fight in November and then in December. So he's champing at the bit to fight."

Holyfield (43-10-2, 28 KOs) is from Atlanta, Georgia and continues to fight at age 48. He is a former World Undisputed Champion in both cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions, earning him the nickname “The Real Deal”.

Nielsen is 45 and has not fought since April 2002, when he won an eight-round decision against former cruiserweight titlist Uriah Grant. He is a former professional boxer from Denmark and is currently planning a come back to boxing. He is the former IBO and IBC World Champion. He is also the only professional heavyweight boxer in world history to have equaled Rocky Marciano’s record of 49-0, beginning his own career with 49 consecutive victories.
